“Well, it’s almost lunchtime, what do you want to do…?”
Yuzuru asked Arisa while looking at his watch.
Upon Yuzuru’s question, Arisa patted herself on the stomach.
“Um.um… it’s a bit tricky. I might skip it.”
“Right.”
Yuzuru was not very hungry either.
He still felt like he had a little left over from the food he had eaten in the morning.
He didn’t feel like eating a solid meal at a restaurant.
“Maybe we could delay it… or pick up some popcorn or something?”
Yuzuru said, pointing to a store just a few dozen meters away.
The smell of deliciousness wafted through the air.
“Then let’s get some popcorn. We can eat it while waiting in line.”
They stood up and moved to the front of the store.
Arisa asked Yuzuru while looking at the menu list.
“What flavor would you like, Yuzuru-san? I’ll have the caramel…”
“Let’s see…”
Rather than choosing the same flavor, he would rather choose a different flavor for each of them and eat half of each.
That must be the same for Arisa as well.
“There is such a thing as chocolate flavor, huh?”

Then, she placed her order to the waiter.
“Chocolate and curry, one each.”

Then Arisa scratched her cheek in embarrassment.
“…I was still curious. Was that bad?”
“No, I don’t mind.”
Now, if she had chosen a combination of salty and sour things, such as curry flavor and salt flavor, Yuzuru would have wanted to say something…
As long as the combination of sweet and salty remained the same, there was no complaint.
“I was curious too.”
He had had the caramel flavor at movie theaters and other places, but never the chocolate flavor.
When Yuzuru told her that he had also been curious about it, Arisa smiled happily.
“That’s good to know.”
The popcorn came in a case that could be hung from the neck, perhaps in consideration of riding the attraction with it.
The case itself was also a cute design featuring amusement park characters.
They sat down on the bench where they used to sit and started eating popcorn.
“The curry flavor is… not as spicy as I thought it would be.”
“The chocolate flavor is… well, it’s kind of chocolatey.”
They shared their popcorn with each other and compared the two flavors.
They alternated between the salty and sweet flavors and drank tea when the taste became a little too strong.
After finishing about a third of the popcorn, they stood up.
“Shall we eat the rest of the popcorn while standing in line?”
“I suppose.”
The two of them moved on to a nearby attraction.
But when they got close to their destination, Arisa stopped abruptly.
“What’s up?”
“… churros, don’t you want some?”
“No, not particularly…”
Arisa’s sudden words made Yuzuru tilt his head involuntarily.
Then he followed Arisa’s gaze and saw a store selling churros there.
Apparently, when she saw it, she wanted to eat it.
“Why don’t you just go buy some? Shouldn’t it be fine if you just eat while you wait in line?”
One does not need dozens of minutes to eat a single churro.
It could be eaten well enough while standing in line, so it did not seem to interfere with the enjoyment of the attraction.
“No, there’s popcorn, too… and I was wondering if I could eat it all up.”
“I see.”
The popcorn was surprisingly filling.
At present, she was not that hungry and was not sure if she would be able to get in the churros in addition to the popcorn.
She seemed to be concerned about that.
“So… how about that Yuzuru-san, you take about half?”
“Sure, I’ll do it.”
Yuzuru did not want to eat churros that badly, but that did not mean that he did not want to eat them at all either.
If available, he would eat them if he could get them, and he was confident that he could eat up to half of them, along with the popcorn.
“And the flavor…”
“You can choose.”
Arisa smiled happily at Yuzuru’s words and immediately bought some churros.
It smelled slightly sweet.
“What flavor did you choose?”
“Caramel.”
She had given up on caramel for the popcorn, but it seemed she still had a craving for it.
“It’s delicious.”
When she got in line for her destination attraction, Arisa immediately bit into a churro.
She looked happy.
“Arisa…”
“Yes.”
I thought you were going to share it with me?
And before Yuzuru could finish, Arisa held out churros to his mouth.
Yuzuru opened his mouth and bit into the churros.
“How do you like it?”
“Yeah, it’s sweet.”
“That’s good.”
Arisa gave a big smile.
